And, so, the list that was started with an Ameriwood product will be finished by an Ameriwood product. There is very little about this one to distinguish it from any other fireplace TV stand we have looked at on this list. In fact, it is very much a representative piece of that category of furniture. Perhaps that is appropriate in a way—more appropriate than ending with some unexpected, flashy, unheard-of contraption.
This one is, surprise surprise, made of laminated MDF and particleboard. It comes in several colors: black, dove gray, espresso, ivory pine, and weathered oak. Depending on which color you choose, it will either give the room a modern or more rustic feel. The choice really depends on you and your particular tastes and preferences.
It features four open shelves with wire management holes. This gives you a place to put all of your video and audio related electronics (and also DVDs and Blu-Rays).
The fireplace insert has a fairly realistic effect which can be used with and without heat. Unfortunately, however, there is no remote control nor is there an option to turn the setting up or down. It is either on or off. The insert can heat up a room up to 400 square feet in size and plugs into a standard 120V outlet.
The Home Edgewood TV Console with Fireplace for TVs up to 60” ships flat to your door and it is recommended that two adults assemble it. It can, as you may have already assumed, accommodate a TV up to 60” wide or 95 lbs. heavy. Each of the shelves will hold 20 lbs. and the assembled dimensions are 24”H x 58”W x 17.7”D.
Customers have reported little difficulty in assembling this one. With a little help, it is possible to do it quite quickly, although those who are less handy might experience certain difficulties. Regardless, once it is up together, most people agree that you are in for a treat. This fireplace TV console provides you with a great place to put your television and also makes your environment extra cozy.
One small thing to note with assembly is that the lettered stickers on each piece do not just tell you which piece you are working with, but also which way the piece is supposed to be facing. This is something that is good to keep in mind as it does simplify the assembly process.
There is really not much else to say except that this is a great product from Ameriwood, especially for the price, and that it is a more than appropriate way to finish off our list.
