The seventh entry on our list is one with a lot of controversy surrounding it. There are, on the one hand, customers who swear by its ability to cozy up the atmosphere of a room and who really dig the design.
On the other hand, there are also those who will quite readily complain about several different aspects of this fireplace TV stand, from the way the flames are animated to the assembly process and shipping inconveniences. We will tackle these in a bit, but let us first give some basic info regarding this fireplace TV stand.
It comes in barnwood, black, brown, driftwood, espresso, rustic oak, white oak. The finish on it is rich and textured, and the stand itself is constructed of high-quality MDF and durable laminate. It will support up to 250 lbs. and, of course, includes an electric fireplace insert. It will accommodate TVs up to 60 inches in screen size and contains quite a bit of storage space in the form of shelves which provide you with a place for all of your favorite DVDs, Blu-Rays, books, games, consoles, DVD and Blu-Ray players etc.
You get the idea. There is nothing unusually superstandard about this fireplace TV stand. It is quite orthodox and, according to most people, does the job it is supposed to do well. This is why it is on this list. We will now, however, move on to discuss some of the bones of contention when it comes to this product in order to illustrate the controversies surrounding it.
The first and most prominent one we have come across has to do with the fireplace insert. Namely, it does not look realistic. Not only that, but it does not even come with a remote control which can be used to turn the thing up or down or on or off from a distance. This causes inconvenience. There is only a switch on the fireplace itself which allows you to turn it on or off. That is it. One good thing, at least, is that you can just have the light without the heat. This, however, is not a unique feature in the world of fireplace TV stands, and so should not be treated as a bonus but rather something that would be stupid to leave out.
The other one has to do with the shipping and assembly. Some customers have reported their units shipping with missing parts or extra parts which are unnecessary. Not only that, but it has been known to be a hassle to request any sort of replacement parts from the manufacturer as they sometimes send in the wrong parts. This, of course, can all be fixed, but it does cause unnecessary inconvenience.
Those complaints, however, are few and far between. The majority of customers agree that this is a solid fireplace TV stand more than worthy of your home. More likely than not, purchasing it will make your home a cozier and more inviting environment. Just be careful to heed the warnings.
